There will be an election of two Fire Commissioners and vote on the proposed 2023 budget of $4,867,322.00 for Fire District No. 1, Franklin Township, Somerset County, N.J. on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
Polling places will be Elizabeth Avenue Firehouse on Wiley Drive, Somerset; Middlebush Firehouse on Olcott Street, Middlebush; Millstone Valley Firehouse on Amwell Road, East Millstone; and Somerset Firehouse on Hollywood Avenue, Somerset. The polls will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Nominating petitions are available here or by emailing a request to ap@ftfd1.com. Completed petitions will be accepted at the Fire District Office, 370 Campus Dr, Suite 102, Somerset, NJ until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 by putting the application in the fire district mailbox by the back door to the office or by calling for instructions – 732-356-4446.
A request for mail-in ballots was published in this paper and will also be available from the Office of the Somerset County Clerk, Somerset County Administration Building, Somerville, N.J.
